Dynamic transducers are the most widespread.
The production of dynamic drivers is inexpensive and the reproduction quality can now be described as very good. This is also the reason why this transducer principle is particularly popular. But: There are not only advantages, because due to the design the installed coil increases the inertia and thus affects the resolution as well as the impulse reproduction.
That’s why more and more manufacturers are now combining different types of transducers. For example, the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 uses one dynamic and one balanced-armature driver per side.
